Bridging the Digital Divide: Wi-Fi Hot Spots as a Means of Digital Equity

Many areas of the United States still fall short digital equity and inclusion, defined as ability individuals to access use information communication technologies participate fully in society, democracy, economy. This is especially true Montana, authors’ rural state. Only 63.6 percent Montana citizens have broadband access, average cost Internet $91.54 per month—the third highest nation. The seven American Indian reservations state face even more barriers with some having low 23 population broadband. lack high-speed coupled increase remote learning (and work) added stress many college university students’ lives they struggled complete their coursework during COVID-19 pandemic.
